Taylor Mental Performance, LLC. provides the opportunity for teams or groups to work virtually or in-person with Taylor designed to enhance their mental performance. When working together, the staff and Taylor will first meet to discuss the background of the performing artists, how the performing artists have gotten to where they are today and the reasons why they are seeking mental performance services for their performing artists. Once this meeting has occurred, Taylor will also speak with the performing artists to get to know them and discuss what they believe they would like to improve upon moving forward. At the conclusion of both these meetings, Taylor will take the information provided by the staff and the performing artists and develop an individualized plan to help the performing artists improve their mental game.
As a former athlete, I know what it takes to become the best in your respective domain. It not only takes hard work, dedication and sacrifice but it also takes a sound mental game to enhance your overall performance. During my athletic career, my former Team Coordinator, Gary Anderson, once said, “There is a triangular boat with the athlete in one point, the coaches in another and the parents in the third and we are all sitting in it together. If we all work together to support the athlete, the boat will steadily progress towards their aspirations. If any disagreement occurs, the boat will move around in circles with no progress being made”. At Taylor Mental Performance, LLC, I approach my consulting in a similar way: the performing artist, mental performance coach and the performing artist's support system (i.e., parents, coaches, friends, family, etc.) will work together as a team to help the performing artist develop a strong mental game that can complement yet enhance their performance.
